Today we were discussing what we could do to prepare for our filming of our trailer. We were set the task of filming a short film that doesn't have a narrative so we could practise our camera skills. We were given a list of a different range of camera angles, shots and movements we have to include in our work.
Angle: high angle, low angle, canted angle
Shots: establishing shot, close-up, mid-shot, long-shot, wide shot, two-shot, aerial shot, point of view shot, over the shoulder shot.
Movement: pan, tilt, track, dolly, crane, zoom, reverse zoom.
In this lesson we went outside to start on the short films but my group came across difficulties with the tripod and camera so we spent some time learning how to use the equipment so when it came to our actual trailers we wouldn't have any problems.
