The central image on the cover is the main character 'Katniss Everden' who is a well-known figure from the franchise because of this I think it would be very eye catching. The character appears to be in front of a background which is a derelict area with broken buildings and fire, this could be viewed as being quite intimidating. The character also appears to be in black protective clothing with her hair in a braid which would go against stereotypes of females being vain when it comes to their appearances.
The fact that she is also holding a weapon goes against stereotypes of females being weak as she is the only character on the cover it shows that she is one of the strongest and most important characters in the franchise. I think the front cover of this magazine is very overcrowded and it has a lot going on at once, this is something I would like to try and avoid when I come to do my magazine cover as I don't like the way it looks.
