The trailer opens with music from a piano and violins being played over the top of various scenes, it is a non-diegetic sound which helps link together various segments of the trailer. This background music is used throughout the trailer and is used to help create a tense atmosphere in more climactic parts of the trailer.
From the establishing shot of the sky line a sound bridge is used to help transition the shot into what appear to be flashback in which the audience can hear panicked screams. This mixed with the low lighting used and fast pace of this scene help create a sense of disorientation.
When beginning to look at sound used in trailers looking at Sully allowed me to understand how quickly the sound can change depending on the atmosphere the director is wanting to put across. This is something I would want to include in my final trailer as I think it helps with conveying a story line to an audience.
